DNS Domain Blocking
Blocks known gambling domains at the network level. It cannot catch everything: new domains, direct IP addresses, encrypted DNS and VPNs can get past it.
Browser Monitor
Real-time scanning of browser URLs and page content. Catches many sites that are on no blocklist, though not all of them.

Uninstall Deterrence
On Android, makes removing the app harder and notifies your sponsor of an attempt. It cannot prevent removal: iOS does not allow it at all, and a determined Android user can still uninstall.

What works where
Android gets the deepest protection: system-level access lets Shield monitor everything. iOS protection focuses on Safari and DNS blocking within Apple's security model.
Android protection requires a dev build with native modules. iOS Safari Content Blocker requires enabling in Settings > Safari > Extensions.
