Terms of Service

1. Not medical advice

Renovyn is a recovery support tool, not a medical service. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Renovyn does not replace professional healthcare, counselling, or addiction treatment programmes. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a helpline immediately.

The insights, patterns, and recommendations provided by Renovyn are based on your self-reported data and general research. They should be used as supplementary tools alongside professional support, never as a substitute.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Renovyn, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Renovyn. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 16, their account will be terminated and their data deleted.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@renovyn.io.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Renovyn offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, you retain access to paid features until then.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA, you normally have 14 days from starting a new paid subscription to cancel it and get your money back. That right ends once you have asked for immediate access to the paid features and we have provided them. Where the cooling-off right does not apply, we do not refund part-used billing periods. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple and Google under their own policies, which we cannot override. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact support@renovyn.io and we will review your case.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Renovyn for any purpose other than personal recovery tracking
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Use the accountability partner feature to monitor someone without their explicit consent
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the platform

7. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We will provide notice and explanation unless immediate action is required to protect other users or the platform.

8. Data handling

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Recovery data is classified as special category health data under UK GDPR. We process it only with your explicit consent and apply additional safeguards including encryption at rest and in transit.

9. Limitation of liability

Renovyn is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific recovery needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renovyn and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the UK or the EEA, that does not take away your right to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in, or the protection of the mandatory consumer laws that apply there. We publish these terms in English, Spanish and Arabic. The English version is the authoritative one: where a translation and the English text differ, the English text applies.
